Geometry Lesson During our unit on geometry students explored geometric shapes using the "hands on approach". Each student used figures to discover sides, faces, angles and symmetry. They challenged their thinking to create pictures using as many shapes as they could. Ask them to explain the lesson to you.

Our classroom is filled with learning and growing everyday. We start our day with a morning meeting, sharing greetings and information. We use the time to cover curriculum from various content areas.

In math we are stressing number combinations and place value concepts. We use manipulatives and various strategies to support each learner’s discovery and concept understanding.

Our day is filled with authentic opportunities to engage and learn from literature as we read and write. One of my goals is to create a safe and caring learning community for each child to grow and discover daily. I can be reached by phone at 485-9029 ext. 2158.
